A recent First Aid Certification course, given by ITC First Aid Ltd., qualified 13 students as FAW certified. During the course, students learned to deal with many common and potentially life threatening emergencies such as: heart attacks, drowning, large wounds, stroke and shock. The course ran for four days, with the written and practical exams taking place on the last day. To be certified, students must attend 24 hours of training and pass four final exams in front of a small panel of examiners, and the certification is valid for three years before having to be retaken.
