‘One to One’ Support for Adults wanting to return to education.

We understand that deciding to return to education in whatever form can be intimidating. Filling in registration forms may not be your cup of tea. Your worst nightmare might be showing up for the first day of class by yourself. Education is important for personal growth and development; whether it is a qualification course or a great leisure course. MNC is developing a programme designed to give extra help and attention to those wanting to make a change for the better. Our One to One volunteer has been in your situation and wants to make your path easier.

You can call or come in to the Network Centre for an appointment. That’s all there is to it. We will listen to your concerns, offering help and advice. Depending on your needs you can get help with filling in forms, making contacts and even attending classes with you until you are confident enough to do it on your own. Please don’t let obstacles stand in the way of your happiness when help is so close. Give us a call and rest assured that your confidentiality will be kept.

Education and Learning Champions raise awareness and promote the value of learning and education to others in their community, including friends, relatives and workmates.

• Spread the word about the benefits of learning

• Help people to find the right course or learning opportunity for them

• Assist someone to enrol on a course or join a class.

• Help to break down barriers to learning.

• Enjoy  a supportive network who regularly meet to share information and good practise.
